Description
Jason Weirich has an extension/research appointment in Weed Science located at the Delta Research Center in Portageville MO. His program emphasizes on weed control in corn, cotton, rice, soybean, and wheat in the bootheel of Missouri. Specific projects include developing effective and economical weed control programs for producers of Southeast Missouri.

Description
Kent Fothergill, in his role as the Weed Science Research Specialist, assists Dr. Weirich with
management, implementation, and data collection needs of small plot and larger scale research trials and cheerfully performs other tasks as assigned. Kent's background includes working as a botanist/biologist for Conservation Seeding and Restoration, Inc., and 20 years of experience working with fish health and environmental issues for trout and salmon farms in the Northwest. |
Driving directions to office: Take Exit 32 off of Interstate 55. Drive 0.7 mile west to first 4-stop. Turn left (south) on Hwy 61 and drive 0.8 miles to Delta Center office on the left. Field days are held at the MU Lee Farm. Continue driving south 2 more miles past the office. Turn left on County Rd T. Cross interstate on overpass bridge and drive 5 miles to deadend at Hwy TT and MU Lee Farm. Office phone is 573-379-5431
