Felix Fritschi

Assistant Professor
Division of Plant Sciences

Education
Ing. HTL, Crop Science, Swiss College of Agriculture, Switzerland
M.S., Agronomy, University of Florida
Ph.D., Plant Biology, University of California, Davis

Description
Felix Fritschi has a research/teaching appointment in plant physiology. His main research interests are in the area of plant responses to abiotic stress. In particular, he emphasizes on effects of water deficit and heat on plant growth and productivity. He teaches an introductory class on plant structure and function and an advanced crop physiology class.

Research Assistant Opportunities:
Dr. Fritschi is currently looking for MS and PhD level graduate students interested in plant physiology.  In particular, students interested in plant responses to drought and heat stress at the whole-plant level are encouraged to apply.  In addition, a research assistantship is open for one MS student interested in examining variations in seedling vigor and early vegetative growth, and the impact these may have on crop yield.
