Description
Peter Motavalli has a research/teaching appointment in soil nutrient management in the Department of Soil and Atmospheric Sciences.

Research interests include:

  1. The use and effects of organic materials and wastes as soil amendments.
  2. Nutrient cycling in natural and managed ecosystems with soil physical restrictions.
  3. Development of nutrient management practices to reduce pollution of water resources.

He teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition and a writing-intensive course on Soils and the Environment.
