Description
Rob Myers is Regional Coordinator for the USDA North Central Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Professional Development Program. He administers competitive grants and state funding for sustainable agriculture projects in 12 North Central states. One of the key initiatives he is currently leading for the USDA SARE program is on bioenergy and climate issues. His professional expertise encompasses sustainable agriculture, conservation, and crop diversification. He has conducted research and education programs with a number of alternative crops, including sunflowers, canola, amaranth, buckwheat, millets, dry beans, and bioenergy crops. He has also worked on cover crops and participated in agroforestry education programs.
