Description
Craig Roberts has research/extension appointment in forage crops. His research program is designed to identify factors that affect forage quality and plant persistence. The applied research deals with plant testing methodology and toxin management; the basic research deals with natural defense proteins in tall fescue and birdsfoot trefoil. His extension program is designed to help livestock producers improve their grazing operations. The program provides new information and technology pertaining to tall fescue toxicosis and grazing systems.
