Description
Chris Starbuck has an extension/research appointment dealing with woody ornamental plants. His research includes low-cost winter protection techniques for container-grown plants and methods for extending the planting season for bare-root trees and shrubs. A current emphasis is on the characterization of composts made from sawdust, manure and other organic residues. He is responsible for recommendations regarding cultural problems in nurseries and landscapes.
