Educational Background

B.S., Plant Protection, 1999, Plant Protection Department, ShanDong Agricultural University, China

M.S., Plant Pathology, 2003, Plant Pathology Department, China Agricultural University, China

Research Interests

My major interests are to understand how plants resist cyst nematodes on a molecular level. Currently, my research is focused on the identification and characterization of the soybean cyst nematode resistance gene, Rhg4, in soybean. In addition, I am characterizing gene expression changes in response to nematode infection in susceptible and resistant plants to identify downstream components of the soybean resistance response to nematodes.
