Graduate
Plant Sciences offers graduate programs leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Plant, Insect and Microbial Sciences. A student can select training from a wide range of courses and research programs to prepare for a career in research, teaching, industry and extension work. Students may complete their graduate degrees through any of the Graduate Program Areas:
- Crop, Soil and Pest Management
- Entomology
- Horticulture
- Plant Biology and Genetics
- Plant Microbiology and Pathology

Undergraduate
Students earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Science will receive a broad based education in both the basic and applied sciences. Undergraduate classes are taught by members of the faculty and are set up to give students hands-on experiences. Students can choose an emphasis area and receive specialized training within that area. Emphasis areas include:
- Crop Management
- Landscape Horticulture
- Ornamental Plant Production and
Operations Management - Plant Biology
- Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biotechnology
- Plant Protection
- Turfgrass Management
