Graduate
Plant Sciences offers graduate programs leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Plant, Insect and Microbial Sciences. A student can select training from a wide range of courses and research programs to prepare for a career in research, teaching, industry and extension work. Students may complete their graduate degrees through any of the Graduate Program Areas:
- Crop, Soil and Pest Management
- Entomology
- Horticulture
- Plant Biology and Genetics
- Plant Microbiology and Pathology
Undergraduate
The division offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Sciences. Students in Plant Sciences receive a broad education in the basic and applied sciences as they relate to the biotechnology, breeding, production, protection and marketing of plants for agricultural, ornamental and home use. The emphasis areas are a series of interwoven courses in:
