Landscape Horticulture Courses

Landscape horticulture deals with the design, installation and maintenance of the created, or human-made, environment.  Individuals with an interest in landscape horticulture typically have a keen understanding of the relationship between humans and the environment and they value aesthetics in enhancing the quality of life.

As our population continues to grow, so does the need for people to create and care for attractive surroundings in which to live, work and play. Landscape horticulturists enjoy working with people and plants in a variety of settings, most of them being outdoors.

Career opportunities for landscape horticultural graduates can be found with nurseries, landscape contractors, landscape management companies, botanical gardens, municipal and governmental agencies such as the park department, and private business and firms.
