Turfgrass Management
The turfgrass industry continues to flourish in Missouri as well as nationwide. A recent survey conducted by the Missouri Department of Agriculture valued Missouri's turfgrass industry at more than one billion dollars.
Turfgrass management graduates enter rewarding careers in a profession where job opportunities abound and the outdoors is their office. Our graduates assume important roles in managing turfgrasses to beautify our communities, provide safe recreational surfaces, and improve and protect our environment by preventing soil erosion. Examples of specific career opportunities include golf course and athletic field management, commercial lawn care, sod production, professional grounds maintenance, product sales, education and research.
